Business Valuation

The value of a business is rarely self-evident. Whether the purpose is a financing transaction, a legal proceeding, a transfer of ownership, or a regulatory requirement, a credible valuation depends on methodology, documentation, and professional credentials not on an estimate or a rule of thumb.

A.Y.Bassam & Co. LLP provides business valuation services across a range of purposes and client types. Our partners hold CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) and ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) designations and applies recognized valuation methodologies, Asset, Income, and Market approaches, in compliance with NACVA standards, AIADVISOR Valuation Standards, and IRS Revenue Ruling 59-60.

SBA 7(a) financing requires valuations that meet specific SBA requirements and hold up under lender review. Litigation and dispute resolution including divorce, shareholder disputes, M&A, bankruptcy, fraud, and commercial litigation require analyses prepared to withstand adversarial examination. Ownership transitions involving ESOPs, ROBS structures, and family succession require annual valuations by qualified independent appraisers. Each context has different standards. We know them.
